Renewable energy certificates purchased to demonstrate green electricity consumption

Note: Green certificates allow you to claim renewable electricity in market-based Scope 2 calculations. Only certificates that meet Scope 2 quality criteria should be marked as "Valid". The system calculates both location-based and market-based emissions.

Emissions from purchased thermal energy (district heating, steam, chilled water, etc.). Emission factors (EF) should be obtained from your energy supplier or regional energy authority. Please refer to the user guide for guidance on finding appropriate emission factors (EF).

Emissions from goods and services purchased by the organization (EEIO spend-based method)

Note: This tool uses the US EPA Supply Chain GHG Emission Factor (EF) v1.3 (categorized by NAICS-6). Search to find specific industry sectors or product types, and obtain Emission Factors (EF) converted to tCO2e/CNY (using an exchange rate of 7.2 USD/CNY). Transmission and distribution (T&D) losses from Purchased Electricity (not included in Scope 1 and 2)

Note: This calculation only covers T&D losses from electricity consumption. The system automatically references your Scope 2 electricity data and applies a regional T&D loss rate based on World Bank data: approximately 3%. Other fuel and energy-related activities should be calculated separately if material.
